RADR 1167 - Practicum Vi-Med Rad Tech (xray 2323)

Practical general workplace training supported by an individualized learning plan developed by the employer college and student. A health practicum will be an unpaid learning experience. Requires rotating through different work areas. Competencies include: performance of all duties required of a registered radiologic technologist to include patient positioning technical factor selection interpersonal communication skills and radiographic image evaluation regarding anatomy positioning and technical factors; reading and understanding and demonstrating understanding of positioning materials by selecting necessary equipment and producing standard radiographic images on patients with the required supervision; ability to prioritize and organize activities necessary to complete examinations; completion of necessary paperwork (some on computer) related to radiographic examinations performed; assisting with fluoroscopic examinations; demonstrating specific exams on a patient (performance evaluation).
