Consider major issues and trends in contemporary nursing and healthcare practice, including the influence of socioeconomic, ethical, legal, and political variables and professional values. 1. Describe the evolution of nursing as a profession.
2. Analyze the role of the professional nurse as a client advocate in a contemporary and changing society.
3. Describe the present health care system and forces of change.
4. Discuss the factors influencing the delivery of health care including cultural factors, demographics and life span changes.
